Questions
Good to know
Why do I need a kit like this?
The UK government's Be Ready guidance asks every household to be able to manage for at least 72 hours during a power cut, water outage or severe weather. This kit covers light, news, phone charging, safe water, warmth and first aid in one bag. Food and bottled water are best bought locally, and your digital plan tells you how much.
How does the radio work without mains power?
It charges three ways: the hand crank, the built-in solar panel and USB-C. It has AM, FM and shortwave bands, a torch, a reading light, an SOS alarm and a built-in power bank to top up your phone.
What do the water filters do?
The straw filters are a backup for clear fresh water from a tap, butt or stream. They are not designed for sea water, chemicals or sewage. Keep some bottled water at home as your first choice.
How long does delivery take?
Every order ships tracked. Standard delivery usually takes 8–12 working days and is free on every kit. Express delivery (5–9 working days) is available at checkout. You get a tracking link by email.
Which kit should I choose?
Essentials is the radio and a filter. Duo covers 1–2 people. Family covers 3–5 people, with extra filters, blankets, a second head torch and a power bank.
What if I change my mind?
You have 100 days to return your kit for a full refund. If anything fails when you need it within 2 years, we replace it free.
